As part of Shimano’s goal in helping you pursue a future career path, we have developed criteria for awarding our college the scholarships – with our plan being five scholarships of $3,000 each for study beginning in fall 2017. Requirements are as follows:
- Eligible to high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college/university and to declare a major in biology, fisheries, wildlife or a natural resources-related field of study.
- U.S. or Canadian citizen • Applicants must be a member of B.A.S.S., and be involved with a B.A.S.S. Nation club or state/province organization member, or the immediate family member (living in same household) of a B.A.S.S. Nation member.
- Application deadline is May 15, 2017. Qualification information and application is available below.
A special Shimano-designated panel of natural resource and conservation professionals will determine the 2017 scholarship recipients. The winners will be notified by June 1, with special recognition planned at the B.A.S.S. Kentucky Lake college/high school tournament in late June.
